The Yellow Drill

by Steve Johnson

You're fuzzy now, a fish hot off the grill.
A floppy octopus without a bike.
Your head needs holes so use the yellow drill
And let your brains fall out because they'd like
To not be in your crowded head right now.
A beetle lives with three disguised red rats
Inside your head along with bees, a cow,
A kangaroo, a horse, and forty cats,
All living in your head. So drill the holes
To free your crowded brains and let them go.
Your brains will thank you many times with bowls
Of ice cream, cupcakes, rice, and cookie dough;
Can you refuse a feast prepared by brains?
You can't, but put a hat on when it rains.
